Marsha Carow Markman who authored the book CROSSINGS did a beautiful job of writing a collection of oddly different stories. While each narrative is only several pages, she was able to build a story with characters, a plot, twists, and surprises, all the while not one story was in any way the same as the others. She was able to somehow tie this book wholly together and make it not feel as though there were many different stories but that this all fits neatly tied up in a ribbon. I feel that the author put so much of herself into the writing of this book. It’s the kind of writing and forethought that goes into novels such as these that makes them become NY Times Best Sellers.
